Day 1 Nairobi \u2013 Bantu
\nDepart from Nairobi and drive through central Kenya to the lower slopes of Mt Kenya arriving Bantu Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon proceed for a 3hrs nature walk or visit the Mau Mau caves located in the Mt. Kenya forest returning later to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Approximately 3hrs driving from Nairobi.
\nDay 2 Sirimon \u2013 Old Moses camp
\nAfter breakfast drive to Sirimon Park Gate from where you hike through the rain forest for 9 kms to Old Moses camp ( 3300m ). Dinner and overnight at the camp. Approximate transit time 1hrs and 4hrs walking.<\/p>\n

Day 3 Old Moses \u2013 Likii Hut
\nGradual hike through the desolate savannah, avoiding the normal direct trail leading to Shipton\u2019s and following the one going up to Liiki north (3990m )where you will spend the night in a tent. Hiking time is about 4 hrs gaining 700m in altitude. There will be ample time this afternoon to recuperate or walk around the Liiki valley for more acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at Likii north Hut. Approx walking time 4hrs.<\/p>\n
Day 4 Liiki Hut \u2013 Shipton Camp
\nDepart after an early breakfast emerging from Likii Valley over a ridge to a steep descend into Mackinder Valley where you join the normal route from Old Moses camp arriving Shipton camp (4200m) for a hot lunch. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Approx walking time 4hrs.<\/p>\n
Day 5 Shipton \u2013 Kami
\nDepart after breakfast and walk to Kami camp (4500m ) for lunch dinner and overnight. Aprox walking time 30minutes.<\/p>\n
Day 6 Summit day ( Batian Peak)
\nEarly morning rise at 04:30hrs and ascend to Batian (5199m ) by the North face standard route (technical climb ) which takes about 14hrs up and down. Descend back to Kami Camp for dinner and overnight.<\/p>\n
Day 7 Kami \u2013 Chogoria Bandas
\nAfter breakfast continue with your descend through some of the most spectacular sceneries like the lower Simba Tarn, gorges valley; the Halls Tarn and the lake Ellies from a distance. Proceed to Chogoria Bandas where you will have your dinner and overnight. Approx walking time 10hrs.<\/p>\n
Day 8 Back to Nairobi.
\nAfter breakfast set on morning walk for 10kms to be met by a 4wd vehicle for your drive to Chogoria where you get your transport back to Nairobi, with a lunch stop at Chogoria. Approx walking time 2hrs. End of services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
