The proceed further north across the equator to the rugged landscapes of Samburu National Reserve, home to rarely found species for a 2 night stay, before heading down to Sweetwaters Game Reserve, a private reserve with lots of wildlife including a Chimpanzee sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>Then proceed down to the floor of the Great Rift Valley to \u2013 Lake Nakuru National Park. Your last three nights will be at Maasai Mara Game Reserve,where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the \u201cBig Five\u201d lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Daily departures subject to a minimum 2 persons booking.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"gdl-tab-title\">\n<li><a class=\"active\" data-tab=\"tab-0\">Itinerary<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 1: Nairobi\/Mountain Lodge<br \/>\nDepart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kikuyu countryside to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving Serena Mountain Lodge (tree hotel) in time for lunch. Relax in the afternoon as you watch game from the balcony of the lodge, with an optional guided nature\/forest walk. Overnight floodlit game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the tree hotel.<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 3 hrs<br \/>\nMeal plan: {L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 2: Samburu<br \/>\nDepart after breakfast and drive further north across the equator toSamburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Lodge in time lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 3 hrs<br \/>\nMeal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 3: Samburu<br \/>\nFull day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy\u2019s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Optional activites include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight atSamburu Lodge.<br \/>\n<em>Meal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 4: Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary<br \/>\nDepart Samburu after breakfast and drive back to the lower slopes of Mount Kenya \u2013 arriving Sweetwaters Tented Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the private sanctuary (Sweetwaters Game Reserve), including a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya. You will also visit Morani the tame rhino and the Visitors Information Centre. Return to Sweetwaters Tented Camp for dinner and overnight (with an optional night game drives).<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 3 hrs<\/em><em><br \/>\nMeal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 5: Lake Nakuru<br \/>\nAfter breakfast drive down to the floor of the Rift Valley \u2013 to Lake Nakuru National Park, making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild\u2019s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 3 hrs<br \/>\nMeal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 6: Naivasha<br \/>\nAnother morning game drive in Nakuru, then depart for Naivasha, arring Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha and a walking safari at Crescent Island, one of the few places in the world where one can wander on foot amidst wild animals \u2013 there are no predators. Return to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 1\u00bd hrs<br \/>\nMeal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 7: Maasai Mara<br \/>\nDepart after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara, arriving Sarova Mara Tented Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive as you get a feel of this vast game filled reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp.<br \/>\n<em>Approx Transit time: 5 hrs<br \/>\nMeal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 8 &amp; 9: Maasai Mara<br \/>\nSpend two days in Maasai Mara, Kenya\u2019s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant).<\/p>\n<p>On one day you will go out with picnic lunch boxes to spend most of the day in the park coming back to the lodge late afternoon, while on the second day you will have an early morning pre-breakfast game drive, and another one late afternoon. There will also be an optional visit to a local Maasai village.<\/p>\n<p>All meals and overnight at Sarova Mara Tented Camp.<br \/>\n<em>Meal plan: {B, L, D}<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Day 10: Back to Nairobi\/Out<br \/>\nDepart Maasai Mara after breakfast, driving back to Nairobi to arrive approx 1300hrs.
